Since 1995, the American Cancer Society’s signature activity has become a global movement. Global Relay For Life (GRFL) engages global organizations to empower communities and accelerate the fight for a world without cancer. Currently, the Global Relay For Life network comprises partners from 35 countries on six continents worldwide to host Relay For Life events.
The GRFL program gives cancer organizations around the world a platform to increase their visibility and generate cancer awareness. Relay For Life also raises much-needed mission funding while building volunteerism, and advocacy efforts in their communities.
Survivors, key to the Relay For Life movement, are given this spotlight to show that there is life after diagnosis. They are a testament to the progress that has been made in the fight against cancer and are changing the face of survivorship worldwide.
