There are many inspirational stories of women who have won – and lost – their battle with cervical cancer. One of those women is Michele Baldwin.
After being diagnosed with cervical cancer and with only a few months to live, Michele did the unthinkable and broke a world record by standup paddling more than 700 miles down the Ganges River to help raise awareness about cervical cancer.
To tell her story, filmmakers created the documentary, Lady Ganga. You can follow Michele’s journey as she strives to educate those about the preventive measures for this disease.
The American Cancer Society shares Michele’s passion and dedication to spreading the news about cervical cancer prevention and created the Lady Ganga Fund. This fund will support the American Cancer Society’s cervical cancer awareness initiative.
