Andre Bokhoor serves as chief people officer for the American Cancer Society. He is responsible for driving the organization's forward-thinking strategy when it comes to talent, culture, and engagement. As chief people officer, Andre will continue to develop a highly functioning People Team whose purpose is to advance the organization’s performance and commitment to its mission and community through engaging employees, developing their capabilities, aligning their work with organizational objectives, and cultivating a culture which fosters high performance, continuous learning, innovation, and teamwork and collaboration.
Andre is responsible for developing and executing the full range of human resource strategies, such as implementing hard metrics on employee satisfaction and engagement, to address difficult workforce challenges and plan for the workforce of the future. Andre works closely with the Executive Team to lead effective internal communications and build employee benefits, as well as manage human resources policies and legal compliance.
Prior to joining the American Cancer Society, Andre served as vice president of Talent Management and Team Member Experience at Qurate Retail Group, which includes the brands QVC, HSN, Zulily, Ballard Designs, Garnet Hill, and Frontgate. He was responsible for the organization’s global COVID-19 response and the Future of Work strategy, helping to reinvent how and where teams operated. Additionally, Andre led a global team to design and implement a new set of company values to drive more cross-team collaboration and a progressive, team member-first culture. Andre also worked in human resources at Graham Packaging Company and EBRO Foods.
Andre received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, with a minor in HR Management, as well as his MBA, from York College of Pennsylvania.
