I joined the American Cancer Society because I am passionate about contributing to research that can alleviate the disproportionate burden that cancer places on many communities. Jessica Gerald, MPH, is a study coordinator in the Population Science department at the American Cancer Society (ACS). She aids recruitment efforts for the VOICES of Black Women Cohort Study through the maintenance of organizational relationships and volunteer support.
Before joining ACS, my research focused on the intersection of chronic disease and nutrition. I have experience in community-based research focused on health equity in Atlanta, GA.
I live in the Atlanta area and spend my free time going for walks, crocheting, and trying new restaurants.
