Hockey Fights Cancer™ Assist (HFC Assist) unites the hockey community in support of cancer patients and their families. Together, we look to inspire hope and courage for those who are living with, going through, and moving past cancer. Funds raised through our partner program HFC Assist support patient services such as the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge® and Road to Recovery® programs.
Hockey Fights Cancer™ was founded in 1998 by the National Hockey League (NHL) and the National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA). Since its inception, the Hockey Fights Cancer™ program has resulted in donations of more than $32 million to support the cancer programs of local and national cancer research institutions, children's hospitals, player charities, and local charities.
Funds raised in support of Hockey Fights Cancer™ through HFC Assist help the American Cancer Society (ACS) and Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) support people affected by cancer, their families, and caregivers. Some of the many ways include:
Youth hockey teams can join in the fight! HFC Assist allows youth and local hockey teams across the country to fundraise and support Hockey Fights Cancer™ just like their favorite NHL teams and players. November through April, teams can earn exclusive rewards by hosting their very own Hockey Fights Cancer™ game. Get started today.
